I am right royally shattered!

It has been an extremely busy day as it always is in the run up to Christmas - nearly there though. The things we put ourselves through for the love of others!  Tempers have been a little frayed once or twice.

Have been over to see my brother to drop the pressies off and have spent a lovely hour or so with my nearest and dearest.  The first Christmas without mum.  We used to drop the pressies off with mum.  New adjustments to be made to long held routines.  I got his cake finished and decorated it in rolled icing (I normally use Royal).  Never used it before.  Did a plain white cake with lots of Ivy leaves over did not look too bad; being a bit of a numpty never thought to take photos!  David if you are reading this could you take some photos; pretty please.

The teabread was also delivered  - the first time I have ever done this.  Me thinks I am going to be having a bit of a play about with this to get really comfortable with it.

That just remains one more sleep before the big man arrives!

The Night before Christmas.

Now good children do we have our stockings hung with care

The glass of sherry or port left for the big man himself

Plus the mincepies and the carrots for the reindeer.

Good that's alright then.

It just remains for me to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and thank you for following.

Have a lovely day tomorrow

  3. I know you are bound to have a few moment's sadness that your mum is no longer there to share the day with you Trisha, but I hope that you have a lovely day, and then manage to get some crafting done over the Christmas period. Jennie xxx

    1. Hi BB

Yes I have had a few moments its been the first Christmas - always the worst, but there have been a lot of happy memories too. Been playing this afternoon with the Big Shot Die Cutting machine that OH bought me and have thoroughly enjoyed messing about for a change. Hope you have had a lovely time too. Take care

    1. Hi Dawn

Just seen your message and thank you it has been lovely and quiet. I hope you have had a lovely time too. Could do with your advice re a sewing machine. OH bought me an A4 Big Shot to play with and I have been playing with that this afternoon which for once has been nice and relaxing. I have done some embossed backing papers and also a little tiny gift box (one of the templates that came free with the machine). I shall enjoy playing with this as it fits in with a lot of stuff I do already. Catch you soon hopefully take care Tricia xx
