In Search of a Replacement Slow Cooker Bowl

Well I have started with the manufacturer who do a whole host of replacement bowls.  Mine has been discontinued but I have been invited to contact them in order that they may be able to suggest a replacement alternative.  So that is what I have done.  I have already been onto ebay and cannot see anything at present but you never know something may turn up.

Its quite curious actually because I found the instruction book ever so easily - it kind of leapt out on me without me having to hardly look. So I have the model number and the serial number which I have been able to quote.  So as it stands I am waiting for them to get in touch.  Nothing ventured nothing gained and might as well start with the supplier.

I have also been checking out replacements for other pieces of equipment as well.  In particular I have a Magimix Food Processor and I noticed the other day the handle has cracked so I may in time invest in a new bowl as it is a very good food processer and would be sacrilege not to be able to use it.  There are some other pieces as well but will get to them all in good time.  Bit of equipment housekeeping if you like.

I have spent a fair bit of time on the Internet today which I had not anticipated and have ordered some cross stitch charts to add to my collection which will fit in with things already on the go, already in the stash or in the UFO pile, so hopefully they will arrive in the next few days.  I have a chart for a Rose Clock, a lavender field scene and a floral garland cushion panel Elizabeth Bradley chart (which will fit in well with the cushions I have already worked) and a little sampler.  I have spent less than a tenner and that's with postage.

OH also came back with some choccies from the cats and Missy for mother's day tomorrow.  So I have been spoilt.

This is the first Mother's day without my lovely Mum; and as I said to the girls on Friday it seems very odd not having to buy anything or make anything for the mums very odd doesn't feel quite right but I know I have to get used to it.  Sometimes things just catch you on the raw.  We are very privileged to have had her  for as long as we did and very grateful.

Right upwards and onwards still loads to do.

Catch you all soon.

  4. You will have been sad at this first Mother's Day without your mum. It does get easier, but as you said, the first anniversary of any loss is always the worst.

I hope you can find a replacement bowl for your slow cooker. They sometimes turn up in charity shops. I have recently recycled one of mine (tip), it would be Sod's law that it was the bowl you needed!

    1. Hi BB

It wasn't right - something was missing. Mums always hold their families together with a silken thread.

Still no luck with the bowl and the company I tried did not come back to me. so will have to keep a look out. Something will turn up. Hope you are keeping well. Take care.
