The Rocking Chair

Has arrived and here it is. It is in much better nick than I thought it was and will fit in very nicely with everything else I have.  Not bad for £15.

Here it is:

Once a little TLC and elbow grease has been extended it will be better than new and ready for use.  It is comfortable to sit in.  Highly chuffed with this.

Catch you later on.

  1. You got a real bargain there Tricia! At auction that would sell for about £60 or so.

    1. Thanks BB I think so. My original chair cost over £150 the price for the chair. But it also cost us two holidays. The first when we spotted the Fiddleback Rocker and fell in love with it and the second when we went back to fetch it. Found in the Lake District. Original one resides in my bedroom. This is for the dining room. Glad you like it. It is lovely and solid. Hope you had a good afternoon working on Tam's Quilt and resting xx

  3. Hi Linda and Scarlet. I thought it was a bit of a bargain so as soon as I clapped eyes on it I snapped it up. £15 is just so much of a gift. Happened to be in the right place at the right time. I shall have to get those poppy cushion panels made up into cushions for this chair now an absolute must but will be good practice for my new sewing machine. Now I need to find some backing fabric. Think am going to make without zips though. Catch you both soon. Pattypanxxx

  5. Hi Jules I am very pleased with it and it will go well and fit in with my existing pine pieces. I love it when things come together unexpectedly. Best bit is sitting in the chair and just gently rocking it is so soothing. Maybe one will turn up soon for you too. Take care. Pattypanxx
