It is too Darned Hot! 29 Degrees today

A hot old day here in Peterborough 29 degrees C at one point.  Still very hot at 8:20pm 25 degrees C.

It has been a busy day although I have been in the house under the fan for the best part of the day.  Washing machine has been humming away and have had a few trips out to the washing line and got a load of washing out and dry so that is a win win.  Have some more washing to do but need soap powder first.  I tend to buy it in bulk and it usually lasts me 2 to 2 1/2 months before I have to shop again.  One less job out of the way with.  I buy the larger boxes.

As it has been so hot, I have been on the computer for part of the day prepping some stuff up and doing a lot of research. Still a load of stuff to do though.  Will probably go down in a little bit when it is a bit cooler and do a bit of pottering in the kitchen.  For me it is one extreme to another.  Cannot bear the cold nor the heat!  You always get a difficult one.

We have not walked her ladyship today as it is far too hot and the pavements would be unbearable for her.  She has had a quick waltz around the garden before coming into the house again where we have the fan on and it is pretty chilled.  Let us just say she is sprawled in her bed fast asleep but under the fan.  Talk about comfortable!

We have had a very nice tea today, Roast chicken, a small side salad, home made chips with Garlic and Herb mayonnaise to dunk the chips in and the salad.  Has gone down very nicely.  Strawberries and cream for pudding.  Simple but tasty food.

I am off to give some of my plants a little water.  Watering can job as no hose pipe.  Got to keep them going.
