Hello

Sorry its so late but I have been out and about  this evening and its perishing.  It was -3 when OH took me to work today and and hasn't got much above 3 degrees today and its freezing like a good un at the moment.  Will be a bit nasty in the morning if it carries on like this as it will be very slippy. OH cooked me a nice chicken curry for tea so I didn't have to fret about finding something to eat. I then disappeared out for the early part of the evening. Since getting back Demetri has disappeared again - what a night to disappear!. Daft blooming cat just when I wanted an early night! I am still not firing on all cylinders decidely wonky again energy levels still not good but I have my check up with the Arthritis Consultant on Wednesday afternoon for my yearly review. My Raynauds has been playing up as well and I feel at a decidedly low ebb.  I am afraid I hate it when I am low or incapacitated  I don't like to whinge too much as it gets other people dow...

Hello

Hello everyone, just to let you know that I am okay after the endoscopy procedure yesterday.  Thank you all for your good wishes and throughts.  I opted for sedation on top of the anaesthesia they use on the back of my throat - I was awake throughout the whole procedure and behaved myself - I told them I was very nervous and they were brilliant with me.  I have a hiatus hernia  and reflux which is causing the problem with me swallowing my food which gets stuck midway in my oesophagus.  They have assured me that this should be treatable with medication and I have to go back to clinic in August to see how I am doing and the full report.  The procedure has left me very sleepy though. It has been a busy sad and very moving day as the mum of my friends Jackie, John and Caroline was cremated today.  Her instructions were that she wanted a celebration of her life and she left a gift for everyone who attended - her famous meatball recipe which is absolutely d...

I am afraid I have been going a tad spare not being able to blog and link up with like minded folk. Mind you I have been busy with the old preserving and I still have loads to do as yet. More to follow when I am back in full swing. One of the problems with the loaned lap top is that it is very slow compared to the one that is having surgery carried out, but beggers cannot be choosers so the saying goes. I have been ironing earlier on but am now sat down for a few minutes as my back is playing up. I have company. Tyson is in and has decided to join me. Rather begrudgingly at first, but he is here keeping me company. All I need is the log fire, and I am sure he would be curled up in front of it - he hates the cold. He has laid claim to the top of the ironing board and is sprawled full length and is teasingly loo...
