Today has not gone as planned

  at all.  I know it is Friday the 13th, but, I have certainly had three misadventures today - they say everything comes in threes!

No worries I am okay, however I took a nasty tumble this morning, slipped and my feet went out under me, I went down on my knee which gave way and have sprained my knee joint, subsequently landing on my bum and hitting my hip and back in the process.  A bit stiff at the moment and on the pain killers.  I never do fall lightly always make a good job of it.  I have kept moving about, knowing full well I will be very uncomfortable later on, and will stiffen up but must keep things moving.

Later on we went to top up at the nearest to us Pay Point which is a Post Office and also in a row of shops not far from where we lived when I was a child over 58 years ago.  It has changed quite a lot since then, but when I wanted to buy the electric and the gas they had run out of cash to actually put the money in the till.  We then went to the card machine outside of the shop, and it was out of service!  We were then directed to another pay point further down the row of shops and I was able to get the money then.  However I then dropped the electric key and it went under a load of shelves.  Eventually fished it out, and then headed back to buy the electric and the gas.  Talk about eventful.  I did keep my sense of humour though!

After the series of unfortunate events, as it was later in the afternoon I then proceeded to cook tea. We had steak pie, steamed Chard, mashed potatoes, peas and carrot with lots of gravy. Just what was needed - I have felt colder today so it did the job of starting up the internal combustion unit!

Since then I have been pottering around tidying; doing nothing in particular just gathering and tidying bits up to get them out of the way with.

We are off to see the fish man tomorrow and probably another visit to the Butcher.  Will see what I am like tomorrow.  It is going to be another busy day tomorrow, body permitting!

Right am off to put my feet up, have a hot mug of tea and get a couple of paracetamol (in that order).
