The end of the year but the beginning of something new

There is always a touch of sadness or regret as another year passes it is like saying goodbye to a well known friend or a comfortable pair of shoes knowing that you will never see them again. But this year has brought hardship to many and many different lessons have been learned indvidually and as a mass. Some cannot wait to see the back of this year as it has been a troublesome one, to others it is just another year that has passed.

Although there is a touch of sadness, there is also the new coming in, the new pair of shoes and new situations yet to be discovered reinvigorating our lives and in effect re-birth. In effect change, but with change comes hope, and while the flicker of hope burns anything is achievable and possible.

I hope this year is a good one for you and yours and for everyone generally.

  1. A happy , healthy, peaceful and prosperous new year to you and yours. Some of your older posts proved very interesting to me, especially the recipies, bringing back memories of the things my mother used to make while we lived in England. One in particular was your Flapjack recipe, Iv'e now made them twice, last time for Christmas. My eleven year old granddaughter loves them, "just like home made granola bars" is how she described them. "Thanks for the memories."

  2. Hello Piece by Piece. Thank you for your lovely comments I make these Flapjacks every so often for charity events at work and they always go down well. They are good for you too which is an added bonus. Its lovely when a recipe spans the generations i.e. flapjacks being made by your mother for you and now by you for your granddaughter. She will remember the times she spent with her grandma making things as an adult. Such memories and traditions are extremely special and you are giving your granddaughter love in a different way. I hope you and yours have a fantastic New Year, and many thanks for your continued interest in my ideas and ramblings.
