Today has been interesting

…. and not how it was envisaged.  I heard of a job where my OH works but in a different department and so had a CV to prepare.  The trouble I have had with email accounts has been numerous but I eventually got that sorted out at 2:00pm this morning.

It has been very cold and damp here today with episodes of rain.  I have stiffened up to what I was.

Nothing substantial has happened on the sorting out but various inconsequential bits are starting to come together so at least there is movement of a sort.

When I got up which was later than intended I had a CV to manipulate.  Trouble was could not find the Dongle with it on and I therefore ended up having to type it from scratch.  Couple of hours later and by about 11:30am the covering letter and CV had been submitted.  Within an hour I had been invited in for an appointment tomorrow morning at 9:00am. This should overall if the Dongle had been found have taken half an hour at the most!

Please keep your fingers crossed for me.  It is something different to what I have been used to doing mostly telephone work from what I understand but I shall find out more tomorrow. However I do really need to be earning a living.  It is a six month secondment to start with, with the option of being taken on later on in the day if you are competent and able at the job.  We shall see what we shall see.  So this evening will be spent getting my hair sorted out and getting suitable smart clothing sorted out in readiness for the early morning start.  I think my nails could do with some tidying up as well.

Well that's my hair sorted out.  Still wet and I am still a little chilly.  If it goes on at this rate the heating will be on soon but I don't want to do that quite yet if I can help it.  My nails will not be painted but will be buffed up so that they are nice and shiny. My clothes are sorted out.

We will see what we will see.  OH has permission to come and collect me to take me to interview and then return me home.  It is quite a way from where I live and the only way I will be able to get there is with him.

Needless to say the plans that I did have in place for today went completely out of the window.

Fingers crossed and toes plaited.  As I have said I need to earn a living again.

Catch you soon.

  1. Very best of luck Tricia, your commitment and dedication will shine through I am sure.
I will be anxious to hear how it goes.
Hope they do not keep you waiting too long for an answer.
