Pattypan's Potterings
It has been a bright chilly day here today and this evening when OH gets home from work we have to pay a trip to the supermarket to get the bits and bobs for his Curry Goat. The shopping list is written out now I just have to remember not to forget it. The maceration will start this evening and I will be erring on the side of caution with the chilli. I like a bit of flavour with my food but unfortunately my system just does not tolerate chilli very well at all.
Once everything is to hand will start the process of turning the Goat into something special more so for OH than for me. I like to try stuff but if I am not keen then I don't go back there but am willing to give things a go.
It is OH's significant birthday this Saturday so whether we will go out for a meal or whether we have the Goat then I am not sure at this moment. Depends very much on what he wants to do. He does not normally like a lot of fuss.
Last night I found a set of decorations that I had misplaced and I have set myself the job of sorting it all out and then re-packing into an easily locatable box so that I can bring it out in readiness for this Christmas. I am going to do that after tea this evening. It is a brass automaton Santa's Marching Band which cost an arm and a leg and was available from BHS as part of their Christmas display. I think the full price at the time was £80. However I fell lucky at £40. So a big investment at the time. It plays
There is something similar here although it is not the model I have. Mine has a whopping big drum on it.

They would appear to be quite a bit of money to buy these days. So it will be well worth the sorting out if I can. I also have two sets of Pifco Cinderella Coach and Lantern lights that need to go into the same box. I know that I have a lot more goodies on the Christmas front in the house it is just a matter of finding them and packaging them safely and so that I can find them.
Right am going to get myself sorted to get all the bits and bobs ready for the Goat.
