The day thus far
Thank you for all the good wishes for Geoff on the occasion of his 65th birthday. It as been a bright, chilly and windy day here thus far.
We have been out to Johnsons the Butchers at Old Hurst Johnsons the butchers for an early morning celebratory breakfast with my step-son and his wife. A lovely time was had and then we had a quick trip around the shop to pick up a few goodies to bring home with us. We have bought some green back bacon, their Lincolnshire Chipolatas and a steak and ale pie and a couple of their "Cornish" style pasties which are yum, back with us, together with some mixed exotic mushrooms, a sweetheart cabbage and some leeks. I will go to the veg shop later to see what they have available.
We have the curry goat for tea. Am going to serve with some rice and some Naan bread. It is bubbling away in the slow cooker and is smelling really good. Will let you know how we get on with it.
OH and his partner in crime Missy are currently out for the count so I shall leave them to it and quietly potter on with things around the house. If you cannot do what you want to do on your birthday when can you do it.
Right am off to potter.
Take care.
Catch you later.
