Not as Predicted
The weather that is and I am very pleased about that. Showers on and off were forecast but so far the day has been dry. It needed to be after yesterday's torrential rain. However, I have managed to get into the garden and carry on from where I left off yesterday which I am pleased about. I have just stopped to have a mug of coffee as it has been very warm out there and it has been warm work doing what I have been doing which I will detail in a separate post shortly.
Briefly I ended up using the spade on the border and then going over with the fork and removing all the twitch. I have now done the complete side of this and have started on the last edge of the patio slabs which is going to take some time as it is full of all sorts of nasty weeds. Time does not really matter though as long as it gets done and it is done properly it will save a lot of work in the longer term. I am working up to the Rhubarb plant which is massive. I am going to clear to hear as I have detailed before and I have a couple of more Rhubarb plants to go in. Lots of work in the pipeline as well and making progress very slowly. Very chuffed with what have managed to achieve today. There will be a post up over the weekend on this.
We did get a further three rain showers during the course of the afternoon. Two I worked through and one which was the final one pelted it down accompanied by Thunder and Lightning. As it was tea time I came in.
Tonight's tea (sorry no photos) was sweet and sour chicken served with rice. It has gone down very nicely. As I am now shattered from all my efforts today, I am going to have a sit down. I feel as though I have been kicked into touch by a Donkey! Exercise will do me good; be positive Tricia!
Hope you have a fabulous evening wherever you and whatever you are up to😍 Me, I could just fancy a glass of Cider - sadly that is not going to happen. Maybe another night.
Catch you soon.
