Busy Day

 Another Busy day but not as far on as I would like to be.

Have been in the kitchen and dining room most of the day sorting stuff out.  Have managed to sort out one of my large storage boxes which is full of ingredients to find out what is in it.  Now all nicely sorted ready to decant into the Pantry storage jars once that has been tackled.  At least I know what is in there now in one of the storage boxes.  Have a couple of more to go.

Much progress made in the kitchen again, but still a bit more to do.  Will start again tomorrow when I come home.  Not much  more to do in there, but too tired to carry on this evening.  Have to stop for a breather now and then.

Phase One

Little Room, Pantry, Bathroom, Kitchen

Once the kitchen has been tidied will then set about the Pantry and get that all stripped out, then washed out, plaster repaired and re-painted out.  Then start re-stocking some of the jars with some of the ingredients I found in one of the storage tubs I have which is currently in the dining room.

I am hoping that by the end of January that the little room the bathroom the Pantry and the kitchen are all sorted out and painted.  That is my aim in any event.  I also have  a small table to recover from the storage unit which was my Nan's and I wish to re-purpose it and give it a makeover as I need a small table in the bathroom for some bits and bobs and I think this might be just the right size. Notably for a small "Sea Chest" that I keep nice soaps and bubble baths in. So will have a look and see what I think. I have never re-vamped a bit of furniture before so this is a slight deviation but something I am looking forward to doing. They say you learn the most by having a go.

Phase Two

Dining Room

In there have to do under the stairs which is a Pantry Jam/Preserve store and that has to be stripped out completely washed out and painted. I have some vinyl for covering and lining the shelves  Then everything will need re-packing in.  It will be another big game of Jenga.

The Fireside cupboard also needs the same treatment.  The difference with this cupboard is that I have a few things to go in there which are not currently in there.  So will see how we get on. The cupboard is top to bottom with two main cupboards/four doors.

I also have wallpaper for the dining room which I intend to have a go at.  Also needs painting out.  My dining room furniture needs sorting really but whether I will get to it at this point or later on remains to be seen.  It is all pine traditional furniture, two Welsh dressers and a corner pine dresser, a big pine dining table and chairs. I have had it over 40 years.  It has scars but it would be good to get it sorted out and re-finished.

That is as far as I am going with the house at the moment.  There is still the Lounge, stairs, front bedroom, back bedroom and Study/Craft room to tackle at some point as well.   Just got to keep at it and get everything that I want done, sorted.
