Change of Direction Kitchen Bound

No bedroom today.  Weather has been very hot and the front bedroom gets too hot with full sunlight first thing so it would have been unbearable to have been in there. I have therefore been in the kitchen all day long in an effort to get it super clean and squeaky in order that I can get on in the rest of the house i.e. the front bedroom.  I have not been in the bedroom at all today.  I have put in a concerted effort in the kitchen to make the house more functional whilst I have the house upside down for the foreseeable.  It will be worth it in the end.

So Operation Kitchen has been in full swing today.  I was up at 8:15am this morning, I was awake at 5:30am again but quickly went back to sleep.  G was still snoring so I got up, did not disturb the three sleeping angels and got stuck in, in the kitchen.  I have also been using my drawers to put stuff away as I am finding it.  Has been a blessing so far, however am going to have to have a really good sort out once everything is put away and then get things even more sorted if that is possible!

I have not quite got the kitchen sorted today so I will be in there tomorrow to carry on from where I left off.  I have got the bowl cupboard and the saucepan cupboard all washed out and sorted. Also the cupboards under the worktop all tidied washed and sorted. Just have to finish the top of the worktop off and adjust the appliances to where I want them to go and that will be it for tonight.

The Pantry also needs tidying out as does the fridge.  Then it will be all tidy for next week when we go shopping.

To tell you the truth I am itching to do a lot of preserving and cooking, but I cannot justify this just yet until and when that front bedroom is all sorted out.  Then I can start in earnest.  I am trying very much to tidy areas up that I am going to be working in, prior to doing anything.  It is making me think and puts the brakes on me trying to over do things and jump in full steam as I am naturally inclined to do.

Have had a lovely tea this evening.  Chicken Tikka  served with rice and then yogurt and Naan bread.  Followed by a thick slice of Honeydew Melon.  Has gone down very nicely indeed

I was going into the garden again, but am leaving that until tomorrow now. It is what it is and I am not going to do myself in pushing too hard to get it done today.

Just checked the weather forecast could be rain tomorrow.  Will see what happens and if I can get out in the garden to play I will do.
