Getting out into the Garden again
After Saturday's tree felling and putting the washing out during the day I have despite what is on my plate to do with the bedroom am going to get on with the garden again. You stop for a breather and the weeds are taking over again. Need to get back to the hour or two a day, probably earlier in the day to try and get it back under control and then that will give me time to focus on the bedroom again.
Focusing still on the Front Garden
G got the tree down at long last. He has been "chipping" away at it - all nice and tidy now apart from the fact that there is lots of chopped Holly pieces now in the gravel. I therefore went into the garden for an hour and a half on Sunday night and I have cleared half of the front garden of the Holly pieces. I have six big bags of rubbish ready and waiting to go down to the tip. I was intent on carrying on, but the breeze started to cool down a bit, I fancied a cup of tea and my back was kicking off a bit so decided to down tools and get my cuppa and then go back into the bedroom again.
I intend sometime today to go out again and clear the rest of the Holly pieces up. If I have time I will wash the windows, the windowsill and the front door as well as put up a new sign for the Postman which has got faded a bit.
After the first session of cleaning up. Hoping to get back out there this evening.
I will then all being well on Tuesday, drag out the dustbins and give them a good clean down and clean behind and probably put some Jeyes fluid in to clean them up a bit. No matter how careful you are you only need hot weather like we have been having to make things go manky. So that will be a job worth doing and getting out the way with.
A quick tidy up under the privet and a sweep down of the passage and the front path and that should be the front garden concluded for a little while. Fingers crossed and toes plaited.
Then I can start back on the back garden and start getting jobs addressed there. Will give me a break from the front bedroom.
Catch everyone soon.

Yesterday was outside for me, too. I finished mowing the lawn and my husband got two overgrown flower beds weeded. We have rain forecast for the week so more weeding is put on hold. You have a busy life!
ReplyDeleteI do not like to be bored Sandra. We have no lawn just a wobbly patio area and then garden which is also going to be attacked in the next few weeks. Have now updated this post with the photos that would not load. There is one more update on the front garden to come in the next few days. We have had rain here overnight, and a little early morning but it is trying to brighten up a bit. Am off into the kitchen again today. Take care Tricia xx
DeleteThat sounds like a lot of work - great to get these jobs out of the way though!
ReplyDeleteHello Elaine, it was and then when the tree nearly came down on me to boot. Fortunately shifted in time. There was a lot more tree to dispose of than first thought. Have updated this post with the missing photos so far. Still have to go out and get rid of the rest of the Holly in the gravel. Will get to it when I have a moment. In any event the kitchen is calling. Take care Tricia x
