Sunday Afternoon

Last night in preparation for Sunday, I had selected a stack of magazines that needed a bit of a sort out.  A lot of them are general run of the mill magazines that I had kept for a recipe or a pattern and so this afternoon instead of doing embroidery as I had planned I have been going through them.

Therefore Sunday did not turn out as had originally been planned but that is run of the mill around here these days. It did however have its benefits. It made me sit down, it made me address a tiny bit of a huge problem and in the process cleared out items that were no longer needed.

There are still magazine, part-works, crafting and cross stitch magazines that have been kept though as they have some fantastic charts in. These will be filleted again in due course for those that I still want to retain and I may sell some on in due course. Sadly you do not always seem to have the same variety of charts that we used to get years ago. However that is par for the course, seasons change, life moves on.  I also have a substantial collection of crochet magazines when I can locate them that specifically concentrate on crochet lace work.  I have very extensive interests - I am not a master at anything but I do enjoy my crafting and cooking, they are an integral part of who I am.  That being said, in accordance with me trying to get the house sorted out I am chipping away here and there at things as I come across them.  I am always keen to have a go at new things when I can afford to do so as well.

I have also started a small amount of preparation work for pantry ingredients, sorting some recipes out in readiness to do a Pantry Mix re-stock.  I do have a lot of ingredients to hand but there are a few more that need adding.

The weather here has been misley this afternoon and very windy.  The temperature feels as though it is dropping again after a few days of being relatively mild without the need to hardly have the heating on.  We take those sort of days as and when we can.  I always wrap warmly in any event.

Tea tonight is minted Lamb steaks (two each) cooked with simple veggies, boiled/steamed potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, Romanesco (a mixture of all three) peas, carrots and some shredded cabbage with a nice gravy. That should do very nicely indeed.

And maybe, after tea I might be able to do just a little embroidery.  Will see how things pan out; sometimes it just does not happen as if I get interrupted my focus seems to go awol!

I hope everyone is keeping safe and warm in this very unpredictable weather we seem to be experiencing at the moment.

Hope you have a lovely evening.

Catch you soon.
