Yesterday An Early Morning Start for a Change

Yesterday was an early start for me.  We had a Jack Russell who would not settle and had me awake at 5:30am. In the end I ended up putting her in bed with me where she complained bitterly and then realising she was not getting her own way settled on the bottom of the bed where she went out like a light.  The cat usually cuddles up next to me at night in any event, so the pair of them ended up sharing the bed and I ended up getting up as I could not settle.  I was the sausage in the sandwich and got squeezed out.  Getting up early for me that is no bad thing as it gave me chance to write a couple of posts on the computer as well as make sure that Missy did not fall off the bed! She needs bumper bars! We have to beware of low flying Jack Russells around here too.

The early mornings I am hoping to get back into the habit of as when the fatigue hits I just sleep for England and do not seem to be able to wake easily.  This aspect is really niggling me and I am hoping that things will get better as I go along now that the lighter mornings are starting to kick in.  Time seems to be slipping away.  Unfortunately, I had to go back to bed later in the day as I came over all wobbly again lack of energy, despite having stopped a couple of times to sit in-between times.  Going to keep working on this and if it carries on too much further will be going to see the GP.  Something feels off-kilter.

In any event down stairs and got the tumbler on.  What was in needed a bit longer and so that was put on.  A load of towels which are now dry and the next load added towels again and another wash put on.  Then to my mug of tea and a bowl of cereal and my medication.  Try and take with food where possible as it impacts the stomach less that way.

Managed to get the dried egg shells processed and crushed and into a jar for tomato growing season. I have been drying the shells for a little while as they are a good calcium boost for the soil and also are supposed to keep slugs and snails away from fragile plantlets.  So that is a good eco thing out of the way with for now.

Also stripped the Chickens down of their meat and put the meat aside for making some Chicken pies.

Started off the stock.  I am dealing with this by the old-fashioned way of long and slow simmering in an old fashioned stock pot on top of the Gas cooker.  Ideally should be left to simmer overnight but I do not leave anything going overnight so it will be resumed again tomorrow.

The kitchen was partially bottomed out.  Getting there.

More washing done and the pile is slowly going down.

Then I just sat for the evening and did a little crafting before having an earlier night.  More on the crafting in another post to come.  Trying to focus on specific things rather than being all over the shop.  I do not like things to be "muddled".

Tomorrow is another day as they say no doubt Missy will be wanting to be with me on the bed at some point during the night.  As long as it makes her settle that is the icing on the cake.

Catch you soon.
