New Embroidery Kits
I recently bought a load of kits and I thought I had mentioned them in one of my posts, but I am unable to locate this at the moment. Being as I have given a link below to the AnnieMEmbroidery shop on Etsy, I thought that I would give the names of the kits I had bought previously. I have no photos at the moment but I think they are on her website.
Dune Flowers
Forget Me Nots
Foxglove Flowers
Primrose Heart Embroidery pattern
Spring Blooms Embroidery pattern
Summer Wreath Embroidery panel
Contemporary Coastal scene
I have succumbed again and bought in a few more embroidery kits for working in the foreseeable future. I have spent more than I had intended, but I am trying to build up a set of kits on a theme for different rooms predominantly smaller kits for the Lounge consisting of flowers both wild and cultured and coastal themes. I have always been drawn to the sea and English natural wildflowers from a very early age. I am really trying to get into the crafting this year as well as doing lots of other things as well.
The Lady I have bought the kits from is on Etsy known as AnnieM Embroidery (Annie Morris). Link to her shop is here:
Kits bought this time round are:
Farewell to Summer pattern
Seashells and Boat Cushion panel
Summer Hedgerow panel
The following kit came from a Company called Lavender Cottage Designs also on Etsy and her presentation of the kit I ordered is just gorgeous. This is the Allium and seedhead panel.
Beautifully wrapped in Lavender coloured tissue paper, with everything you need for the panel i.e. the pre-printed panel and the iron on Vilene for backing the Line fabric. Just totally gorgeous. Link to her shop is here:
I have also ordered a needle holder case and pincushion kit to embroider off of Etsy. I have a love of all things Bees and this will be something practical to go into my needlework box.
I have also ordered Agapanthus and the Hare Panel to embroider as well.
That's me done for a couple of months on kits. Might not be on wool or yarn, but definitely on the embroidery as I need the time to work the embroideries I do have and the UFOs that I keep wittering on about.
The pre-printed panels you embellish/embroider where you want to. There is no set pattern or threads for the price, but it does give you a certain amount of leeway to make the project your own which I like. You can even put them into cushions as a centrepiece, use patchwork with them. The world is your oyster so to speak.
I am a great fan of Rowandean kits in any event and have several of them in my stash as well.
Well I certainly have lots to be getting on with in my retirement which officially happens at the beginning of May. Should keep me out of mischief.
Catch you soon.

Ah, you led me astray and I bought one too. - the Birdsong Floral.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. Glad to see I can still lead people astray. I have sort of stock-piled a bit for my retirement which officially happens beginning of May. Have managed to pick up some lovely little kits just lately and some of them are not too expensive. Being as I have a large stash of embroidery threads to use up, I thought it was perhaps the way to go. Glad you have a lovely little kit too. Hugs Tricia xx
DeleteP.S. The Summer Hedgerow one is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am chuffed with this one too. I mistakenly ordered the Allium and Seedhead panel thinking it was by the same lady and then realised afterwards that it was Lavender Cottage but I think it complements them well. Some very talented people about on the design front these days. Itching to get back to my crafting again have not managed to do any for the past week. xxxTricia xx
DeleteJennie, talking of embroidery. I have been following a lady called Carol Bynoth who creates wonderful machine embroidered scenes (which she creates and hand paints and then embroiders. A lot of the scenes that she creates are of the West Country. She does sell at some small galleries in Cornwall. They are a little pricey but oh so beautiful. Thought would share so that you could admire as well. Take care Tricia xx
