A Couple of Fig Trees and Raspberry Wishes

I treated myself to a couple of Fig trees to replace the ones I lost four years ago. These are a birthday present to myself. My birthday is at the end of this week and the plants are due on my next delivery from Rocket Gardens.

I am therefore hoping to receive them in the next few days or so; fingers crossed and toes plaited.

I had those original trees for about five years or more and loved picking the fresh fruit from them. So here we go again. The Plants are ordered, now have to nurture them to bring them on so that they are a size where a harvest can be achieved and I will be able to enjoy them to the fullest. I love cooking with fresh figs.

The same as I love growing Raspberries. They are on my wish list. At the moment I cannot see enough room in my garden to grow these. We used to have them when the jungle was a garden. However that is not feasible at the moment.

There is nothing lovelier to my mind than to be able to go into the garden and harvest fresh from the plants Raspberries to go on my breakfast cereal. You cannot get them any fresher.

In La La land, I would love a bigger garden one that I can get stuck in and get how I would like overall. Big ideas me, plenty of those just sometimes not the right circumstances to execute them. However we are making the most of what we actually have. I had intended to get a weeding session in this evening on another side of the patio this evening. However that did not happen.  However it is planned for tomorrow.  This border is more densely compacted with weeds, but I shall get there. It will be better to tackle it when things have cooled down a little bit. Then to get the rubbish off the patio. I am going to see if G will take all the plant waste I have accumulated over the past week to the tip to get rid of it so that I can see how the garden is progressing.

Things have not gone well on the Pantry front today. I ended up running around after the animals and G as well as trying to do washing and get it out to dry and have breakfast. So at the time of typing this I have not managed to get started. That is about to change. Well that is what I thought. However it was one of those days where lots was done on the sorting and organising front but there was not much to look at by the time that I had finished.  As I have said quite a bit of work was done.  Most of it sorting items that belong with each other, like with like and I have been utilising items that I have rather than rushing out to buy something to use.  Might come to that eventually for some bits, but not at the moment.

So it will be back to square one again tomorrow and I shall carry on with the Pantry again.  I am also tidying bits as I go in the kitchen as well.  It will all get done eventually.
