Well that has made a dent

 Continuing on from last night ......

Well that has made a dent in the creased pile (I have a setting that can use for this) and the drying pile (slightly damp as has been hung) needed finishing off.  And a wet load has also been dried.  Now to get on with the rest of the washing and getting the rest of the wet drying achieved.  A little concerted effort last night (Saturday) has made a big difference. Items of clothing have found themselves onto coat hangers and are airing in readiness to go into wardrobes. However there is still a long way to go on a lot of things that are going on here at the moment.  I am endeavouring to tackle everything head on and am determined to get everything sorted eventually.

Today though I do have to continue tackling the washing pile.  This is going to take a while between the washing machine and the tumble drier.  With the weather being so wet at the moment I cannot get anything out to dry at all.  

Plans for Monday

I do need to wash the pile of tea towels and get them dried that will realistically happen on Monday. Whilst that is happening I am going to tackle one of the Dressers in the Dining Room and get that sorted out a bit.  This is the Dresser where I dry my herbs, and keep quite a few dried cupboard items and it needs a good sort out as there are empty jars with contents to be decanted into them to go on the shelves.  I had to put a few extra items on the Dresser last night just so that I could dig the tumbler out.

Plans moving Forward

The second Dresser also needs tackling but that will happen later in the week.  I am trying to get organised a bit for the decorating and also to make it tidier in the dining room as quite a bit of work needs doing in here.

Then there is the fridge, that needs a good bottoming out as well.  All jobs based in the dining room and I am working at them an item at a time as I want to get all the decorating done in here as soon as I possibly can.  Realistically though this is going to be two to three weeks.

I am also trying to get the rest of the patching up completed by the end of the week in the Cupboard under the stairs, so that I can get the damp proofing paint and then the emulsion on the walls.  Then the shelves can be tackled and can then finally re-fill the Cupboard under the stairs.  The curtains can be made as and when but getting the shelving how I need it to be is the priority.

I now have far more preserves to add to this little Cupboard under the stairs and the overflow will go into the Fireside Cupboard once that is sorted.

I also have loads more preserving to do.  Have not managed to get to any over the weekend.  I will start on this as soon as I can.

G is fishing on Tuesday.  Although I would like to go out, I am going to leave that until the following week if G goes fishing.  I am going to be staying at home this Tuesday hopefully moving on with some of the things that I have in action at the moment.  Although I might well do some of the preserving whilst G is out of the way after I have had my weekly telephone call with my cousin and put the world to rights.  I have some recipes to write out first, so may well do some of these tonight.

I also have some reduced veggies to process for the freezer and I plan on doing that on Monday.  Every little helps.

As it has been such a dismal day weather wise again, and damp and chilly, we have had a steak pie with veggies and gravy for tea.  That has gone down very  nicely. 

Right as I have been up and down all day attending to things I am now going to go and sit for a while and put my feet up.
