Just to let you know....

I am okay now.  There has been lots going on here after the Gas inspection including me taking a few days to chill and get back to normal.  I now seem to have recovered my equilibrium although we have had a few difficult nights with Missy.  For the best part she is comfortable but we seem to be turning into Owls as she tends to kick off in the early hours and then we end up catching  up with our sleep.

The times I have started posts and not been able to complete them.  Sometimes breaks happen for a reason and I was shattered preparing for the Gas inspection; so perhaps not a bad thing overall.

Hopefully will be back on schedule by Sunday this week.

Hope everyone out there is keeping, well, warm and safe.

Catch you soon.

Pattypan

  1. Dear PP I was wondering if your computer had gone kaput- nice to see another post from you. Sorry to hear Missy’s ailments are causing sleep disruption, is there anything the vet can give her to calm her in the evenings?
I guess the gas inspection threw up a problem that had to be sorted? If that’s the case it’s bound to be a kerfuffle but good to have it sorted!
I hope you have a more peaceful week ahead now that is all out of the way x Danette

    1. Hi Dannette, sorry real life has been getting in the way. Funnily enough my computer will need replacing soon or some assistance. It is a beautiful computer but it cannot be upgraded to Microsoft 11. It is not a stack one, it is one where the hard drive is part of the actual screen. It does have a couple of other issues as well. I am going to have to look into it further as I use the computer a lot as a rule. Missy has very bad arthritis and is on strong pain killers. She very much objects to being a little old lady and not being able to get around under her own steam. She also has dementia which is a lot of the problem, we just have to be there to reassure her a lot of the time, when she forgets where she is or who she is with. Plus she has an over anxious separation disorder which also does not help. She is sleeping more and more and just chooses to wake up when we go to bed! She is 18+ years old a good age for a Jack Russell. The Gas inspection corrective work has been dealt with and all is now working properly until next year thank goodness. Take care Tricia xx

  2. I was wondering similarly. Sorry that the gas inspection caused problems and that Missy doesn't sleep well at night. Don't overdo things.

    1. Hi BB, you know me too well. Fortunately the Gas inspection is now behind us until next year. Missy will be ongoing unfortunately. Some nights we do get sleep or we play tag where one will get up to her one night and the other the following. She lets us know when there is a problem - it is the way that we have brought her up. And boy does she tell us. Hope you are keeping well take care Tricia x

    1. Thank you. Some days and nights she is really good, but when she is not comfortable or needs something she does tend to tell us in no uncertain circumstances. We just try and keep her as comfy as we can as she is very much a well loved, spoilt with time, family dog.xx

  4. Nice to read from you again. Allways afraid of gas accidents so an inspection seems ok. Unless it is not ;-) Wendy

  5. Hello dear PattyPan x I hope your days have been more peaceful. Spring is here despite the weather- the gardens here are erupting into bloom with primroses, daffodils and tete a tete tiny ones, crocus, hellebores and even early blossom can be spotted. My pear trees have tiny buds on them too.
All brightens the day even if it is still STILL argggh raining! Snowdrops are still around too which is lovely .
    Keep well.

    1. Hi Dannette, life here is always interesting. Just been so glad to see the Sun once or twice just recently. I thought I was turning into a duck with all the rain we have had this winter. We needed it, but there comes a point where you get over-saturated. Inner peace is something that I seem to be gaining the older I get. I am not sure I will ever be serene like a Swan, but I am finding my own space gradually. A bonus of being retired, although life does regularly shock us every so often to wake us up. I love Spring, when everything is waking up and colour starts to return to gardens. I am hoping to start sowing some seeds soon. Sounds as though you are going to have a good crop with the pears (here is hoping that Mr Frost does not find them). Spring is for me new hope, that gradually not only do we return to the light, but that there is much needed growth all over. Nature is ever patient and so wonderful. Hope you and your family really are keeping well. Take care Tricia xx
