Merlin
Unfortunately I have come home to bad news. Merlin my youngest cat at 3 1/2 years old has passed over. He had been off colour for a couple of days, we thought that he had a bit of a chill although he seemed brighter this morning before I left for work. OH informs me that he thought things had gone a bit quiet and when he checked he had gone. He couldn't believe it either. It just wasn't expected because he has always been a larger than life Moggie, a big un, a bruiser who regularly yowled at the back door when he wanted in and used to come and sit on you when he wanted fuss. Had to have his daily fuss. His world just wasn't right until he had sat on you for his one to one attention.
He is now buried under the Cherry Tree in the back garden (under the tree that he regularly used to scale)
RIP

Oh Tricia, what a shame, such a young cat too. I'm really, really sorry about this. It's hard to lose a pet that is old and ill but to lose a young one is even harder. I hope he passed over the Rainbow Bridge swiftly and peacefully. (((Hugs)))
ReplyDeleteOh Pattypan, I'm soooo sorry to hear this. Poor little mite :( I hope you're ok, what a horrible shock for you. Love and hugs to you.x
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies, I am upset (I have a little dog curled up right next to me at the moment offering comfort bless her). Its part of the cycle of life. At least he is not suffering which is a comfort in itself. I have had his half sister Squeak looking round for him this evening. He was the laid back white version of her (Squeak is a Tabby and also a very loving cat). They are all quite a close knit group.
ReplyDeleteThank your for your thoughts they mean a lot.

Thank you ladies it is much appreciated. Its never easy losing a much loved pet and he was very much a Mum's boy and always had to have a cuddle. Its the silly things I am missing at the moment, like him calling at the back door to be let in or coming and jumping up on me pinning me down so that I could give him his fuss. Trouble is if you don't show your love to anything or anyone it doesn't do you any good and yet when you do show your love you always end up wearing it on your sleeve.Thank you for your kindness and support.

So sorry to read that you have lost your beloved puss. They fill your heart with love. I lost a dear puss seven years ago, he still owns a little of my heart but I smile often now when I think of him. I'm sure you know it will get a little easier to bear.
