Sunday catch up

Another day  where not much happened although I did cook.

We ended up with a piece of cooked gammon, with roast potatoes, kale, mashed potatoes, carrots, shredded cabbage and Yorkshire Pudding with lashings of gravy.  It went down very well and the bonus is that there is plenty of gammon to use up during the rest of the week.

Might be having some sarnies of gammon with mustard a little later on.

We were at a bit of a lose end on what we watched for TV last night as both programmes we had been watching came to a conclusion last weekend; the series on the Galapagos and the competition for winning an existing homestead in Alaska.  Both have been very good TV watching.

As a result there was quite a bit of channel hopping going on - we could not really settle to anything and ended up watching a film that did not really bode well but it was in the end a very good film.

I did not do any crochet last night just could not settle to it and I have been dreaming again.  When I dream I am so shattered the following day.  The dreaming goes in phases and sometimes I can remember things very clearly and other times I think I should be remembering as there was something important there and it comes to me in bits and pieces.  Just have to take it as it comes.

The sun is out today and Missy is sunbathing.  She is a bit of a sun worshipper.  Warms her bones bless her.

Right on with the housework.

Catch you soon.

  1. We watched that Win Alaska programme too. The ones we wanted to win, did. I felt they could cope. The lass in the runners-up was I felt just a bit flakey and immature, but her partner was spot on - just needed cloning in female form!

Sorry to hear that your dreaming makes you so tired and hope that you can get back to your crochet soon.

  2. Hi BB, we wanted that couple to win as well. Very practical and adaptable. You are quite right with the younger couple as well. Very good programme all round. The dreaming when it happens regularly does this but then can go for months with absolutely nothing. Just have to take it as it comes. Take care Tricia xx
