What a beautiful day
OH started off with a cooked breakfast this morning. Cooked Black Pudding, Bacon, eggs, fried fresh tomato, fried yellow Courgette and fried Red Pepper. Apparently he quite liked the change up. I had some left over from last night's tea and so was looking for a frugal way of using it up. Adding them to the fry up seemed to have done no harm, and he enjoyed it. I had two "Weetabix"!
Washing has been on the Agenda today namely all the pet bedding
Hot, sultry, the Sun has been a Scorcher and as it was far too hot for me, I stayed indoors in particular this afternoon, and as you do I set about the cooker! Yes I need my head testing, but to tell you the truth, the kitchen has been the coldest part of the house. However it has come up well; still have a little more to do on it, but it is all operational to cook tonight's tea "a salad"!
Have a mixed salad, and I have added on raw yellow Courgette and Red Pepper sliced and Red Onion, a lump of cheese and a couple of Eggs which are going to be coated in Mayonnaise. Have made homemade potato scallops as well. Making it a very light tea for tonight, and I will maybe open a tin of fruit to have afterwards to refresh things up a bit. Have some Fruit Cocktail I think which is his favourite. Nice light tea as I could do with losing a bit more weight in any event.
I have been out in the Sun for a little while. I had a mug of coffee and just sat for a few minutes out there. With being blonde, fair skinned and blue eyed I seem to attract the Sun like a magnet and it causes all sorts of problems with prickly heat rash etc if I expose myself to it too much. Ironically, as I have a Vitamin D deficiency, I am meant to spend time in the Sun to top up natural Vitamin D levels despite being on medication for it. But hey ho, it is what it is so do go out for little segments of time.
I also got the Hoe out whilst there and wiggled it around a little bit to shift the weeds a bit in the opposite border to last night and also in the Herb garden. When I go out I shall tidy them up and then go back to the border I started working last night for a couple of hours. Hopefully will be able to get this dug tonight. I still have this evening's watering up to do as well so I do not think that I will be in before 9pm. However I am intent on getting back on track in the garden. For the best part I shall be on my own so will be able to potter to my heart's content.
I am therefore going to buzz off and get on with this evening's garden chores. Loving being outside. I must say being out in the fresh air last night really tired me out and I zonked out until about 5am. Seems to be a thing at the moment.
Catch you soon.
