A Big Ask

Hello everyone,

Today I have a big ask in these difficult times, but it could make a lot of difference to a lady with a big heart and all the animals rescued by her.

I have a friend, Jacky who runs her own animal Sanctuary in France called very appropriately "Jacky's Ark".  The link is here on Facebook:

The Sanctuary is based in Peyrat-le-Chateau France.

Jacky, a retiree, regularly takes in waifs and strays, often kittens that have been separated from their mother for whatever reason.  The Locals also bring her any cats that need help as well. Jacky does arrange for neutering of any strays as part of the care process.

The animals receive lots of love and nurturing from Jacky, often with her nursing a kitten in need through the nights to make sure they come through. At the moment however Jacky really needs some financial and practical help. The Sanctuary has thus far been mostly funded by herself with occasional donations. Whilst she loves the animals dearly she does need some help with either sponsoring an animal, donations or adoption/re-homing some of the animals if at all possible. Currently she has over 40 animals in her care. Would you be able to help at all?

Please have a look at the latest stories on Jacky's Ark in relation to the kittens. Whilst Jacky has so many other lovely cats in her care, she cannot afford to take in any more who probably need her help more than some of the others.  It is just a matter of timing and at the moment there is "no room at the Inn", unless one or more of the current cats are re-homed. A dreadful dilemma to be in.

A few weeks ago, Jacky also took in three kittens a pair called Horace and Hilda and a solo called Hester.  All three are now thriving.  However, there are the older cats too who also need a loving home.

Adoptions/re-homing can be arranged for prospective owners in the UK.  If you would like to contact Jacky direct on the above Facebook link, Jacky will be able to let you know which cats at the moment are available for re-homing. If you are interested in assisting in any way either by adopting/re-homing, sponsoring a cat or making a donation or even being a supporter of her Facebook Page Jacky's Ark.  It would all help her in a big way.  Even a small amount will go a long way.  €1 buys a tin of food.

Even if you have a relative based in France who is looking for a new cat or cats, please mention Jacky's Ark to them.  Small gestures like this often have unseen rewards for all involved.

If you can give any assistance at all to Jacky and the animals, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
