Nonesuch Day

Nothing really much achieved today apart from take things steady in the time up to when we needed to depart for Doddington Hospital for my Ophthalmology appointment to run some tests on my eyes.  Something from what I understand will be happening yearly moving forward in any event, although the underlying reason for the testing is that the medication I am on for the auto-immune conditions can after a period of time cause other issues like loss of sight.  So very much precautionary testing at the moment for which I am grateful.  I then have an appointment with my Rheumatology Consultant at the beginning of August so we shall see if the results are in by then and at least then the Consultant will have some idea of what is actually going on.  I have blood tests next week in respect of this and also in relation to another potential issue as something else appears also to be going on. I am on a regime of drinking more water.  Will see what shows up.

In any event I got myself all sorted out and presentable for attending the hospital.  Actually dressed up a bit today for a change, only casual stuff, but reasonably smart and definitely comfortable.  Made me feel good about myself for a change.  I do not wear make up - have been very sensitive to makeup especially around the eyes for quite a few years so I chose not to wear it.  I am reasonably highly coloured in any event as I have Rosy cheeks.

Well we got lost going to the hospital. Often do when following the Sat Nav. We have ended up in some weird and wonderful places. I was sent to Doddington Hospital instead of the Peterborough City hospital as I understand my Rheumatology Consultant wanted the results in readiness for my next appointment with him in August. Doddington Hospital is a lovely little hospital in an area we are not familiar with. Staff were lovely and put me at my ease. We have seen several villages today had never been to before. However mission accomplished that is the eye tests carried out. Now just need to wait on results to see whether the medication will need changing. Apparently the results will be reviewed by the Consultant and then I will be written to informing me of the results. Now just the blood tests next week, GP wants these as she is not happy with my last lot of bloods, this partially feeds into the Consultant's appointment as well. I will then will see Rheumatology Consultant again at beginning of August. At least I am being looked after and for that I am grateful.

When I got back from the hospital, I then set too and got tea ready.  We had a couple of frozen noodle meals for quickness but very tasty and filling.  We have Strawberries and cream a little later on for pudding.

I am now just about to go out into the garden to tidy up for the evening.

Hope everyone is keeping well.

Full Moon tonight - definite change of energies in the air again.

Catch you soon.

  1. Sounds like you are getting good care and that all your physicians are communicating with each other.

    1. Yes, I know I am very lucky. The Rheumatologist follows through on anything he is not happy about. My GP Practice is also very good as well.xx
