Things to Do List updated 03.08.2018

The list has been updated a bit since first publishing it.  Still an awful long way to go though.

1	Front Garden: Sort out Front Garden so everything is nicely sorted, tidy and looks presentable.  Including, cutting large bush down in garden to make room for the wheelie bins x 3, adding new gravel, clipping the privet hedge, washing windows, door and step down, (cobweb city), removing the top to a holly tree, adding in new planters and hanging baskets and sourcing lockable hangers.  Pavement needs washing with power washer: Photos to follow. 2	Herb Garden: Needs sorting out, more manicuring than anything else, plants re-siting and additional ones to be added.  Flower/herb bags, hangers, hanging basket brackets, window box shelves, rose arch at bottom, planters need staining, bay tree needs taming. New Planting buckets need to be put in situ and also herb planters/window boxes need doing as well as a couple more hanging baskets. Pavement needs cleaning with power washer. Photos to follow:
3	Shed nook and cranny: hanging basket brackets need putting up, planters for honeysuckle, clematis, passion fruit need putting in situ, herb pots, trellis to area where growing sheds are to side of shed and water butts need putting in place.  Table and chairs in situ for early morning breakfast, slabs to side of shed need putting down with border for plants and also some gravel needs putting down.  Pavement needs cleaning with power washer. Photos to follow:
4	Area Behind Shed: Patio needs putting down.  Trellis needs putting up behind the shed as I want a living screen on the patio area which will be full of climbing roses, honeysuckle and clematis.  Possibly a grape vine down the side somewhere as well. New table and chairs will need to be added.  Log burner/fire pit to be installed.  Border down left-hand side for traditional cottage style planting.  Border on lower part of garden to have a lavender hedge.  Washing line and posts need adding to this side above lavender hedge. Potager style beds after this. Barbecue and Pizza oven area needs establishing.  I already have Barbecue and Pizza equipment including cooking equipment. I also have two fig trees, two Quince trees and two Pear trees which are in large pots.  Also looking for apple, peach, plums and crab apples maybe a cherry.
5	Potager: Four raised growing beds to be installed after the patio area. Also a flower growing area with Lillies, Chrysanthemums, Gladioli, Dhalias etc.  Ground needs clearing as soon as blackberries have finished fruiting and then plants moved into pots for moving down to fruit bed area.  The vegetable plants are already here.
	Lavender Plants x 4 have been obtained (English Lavender) need to add a couple of more for “Lavender Hedge”.  Had initially wanted this in the front of the house but there is not really enough room when you take into account that entry room has to be left for the wheelie bin one end and planter other end.

6	Greenhouse:  Needs clearing and bringing back into commission. Ivy needs clearing off of it.  Another visit or two to the tip here I suspect.
7	The Jungle: needs to be brought back into a fruit garden which it was originally.  This will need stripping out extensively. There is a compost bin down here which also needs to be brought back into use.  Quite a lot of heavy duty clearing.  Fingers crossed and toes plaited.  The Lilac trees also need to be tamed.
8	Bathroom.  Needs stripping out, new sink, new bath/shower.  Needs tiling.  Needs shelving.  Needs a couple of storage units and needs painting.  Also needs an extractor fan/fans.  Needs new flooring.  Bathroom doors need re-varnishing and sorting out.  If shower put in may be able to add that small cupboard for storing towels and toiletries in.  Needs new blind cat has wrecked it!
9	Kitchen.  Needs stripping out.  New sink unit and if I can get a couple of pine doors to go on that would match it in with rest of units.  Needs mixer tap.  Needs re-tiling, and plasterwork needs mending. Cupboards need re-organising and more use made of what do have. Needs painting out.  New flooring required.  New blind, new nets.  Needs gingham curtains making for kitchen skirt, under units. Doors need re-varnishing and sorting out.

10	Pantry: needs sorting out, stripping out and then repainting.  Needs new flooring.  Door needs re-varnishing and sorting out.  Few more storage baskets.
11	Dining Room: needs sorting out.  Wallpaper needs stripping, plasterwork repairs made. Redecorating, new flooring and new blind, net curtains and curtains.  Needs new fire hearth surround and need Landlord to take the Gas fire out.  Possibly put in an electric one.  Doors need sorting, re-varnishing.  Side cupboard doors need stripping.  Pine furniture needs stripping and re-varnishing.  I also need to learn how to wallpaper gulp.

12	Under Stairs:  Plasterwork repairs need to be made.  Shelves need stripping and recovering. Needs painting out and new flooring put in and revising space available and organising it.  Door needs stripping and re-varnishing. Needs new doors.
13	Back Bedroom: Needs totally renovating. Mirror Wardrobes put on the dividing wall.  Have big metal framed bed and mattress.  Thinking aqua colour here probably with mirror furniture.  A bit Art Nouveau’ish.  Needs painting and papering.  Room needs totally sorting out and what is in there thinned down.  It is box city at the moment.  Needs laminate flooring.  Idea of fitted wardrobe is that it would hide a lot of my crafting stuff plus have an overshoot wardrobe space. Have seen some nice bedding in Dunhelm today also some nice bedside lights.  This room is a bit glam compared to the rest of the house a slightly different theme.  Also need some Aqua coloured rugs One large and two for down the side of the bed.  New doors.

14	Study/Computer room: Needs cleaning and tidying.  Not long decorated,  Has laminate flooring anyway.  Ideally shelving but I don’t think OH will have any of that.  Just a general tidy and good clean up.  Attention to detail.  Single bed for using as a couch.
15	Hallway: needs  painting and wallpapering, needs new stair carpet and bookcase with lamp at top of the stairs for some extra book storage.  I have a load of books yet to read.
16	Lounge.  Needs sorting out.  Decorating with wallpaper, painting.  Gas fire needs taking out and an alternative sourced.  New curtains and rug.  Bookshelves need sorting out as do DVD/  General good clean.  Carpet needs cleaning.  Leather settees need touching up.
17	Main Bedroom:  Needs totally stripping out.  Wallpapering and painting.  Laminate flooring.  Three rugs.  Does not need new curtains or nets. May need a new blind.  Need new bedding and new Duvet.  Possibly a dressing table and chest of drawers. New doors. One for entrance to bedroom and one for walk in wardrobe (used to be airing cupboard) and is also entrance to loft.
18	Loft: Needs flooring putting down for extra storage space and also a loft ladder.
19	Outside Stone Shed.  Needs clearing out and rubbish decanting to the tip.
20	Shed needs stripping out, cleaning and tidying.  Freezers also need sorting.
