Some of the materials
and projects I have to hand to do stuff with. Some of the bits are part completed or need to be revamped into something else others are just base supplies to be used in different projects.
These fat quarters are for the Dresden plates. Not sure whether or not the pattern is too big. I have started to cut them out of the spots but what do you think. I think the colours match well.
Am sorry this post is particularly picture heavy.

These are the hexi cut outs ready for stitching. I have managed to do a little more on this with the sewing together although not much. This is for my heirloom quilt which will take a little time but it is being hand pieced.
I have about four of these jelly roll packs to make a quilt with. Don't know whether it will be for me or as a present for someone.
Other miscellaneous fabrics bought for using with different projects. It is all pure cotton fabric.
Some charm packs bought pre-cut prior to me acquiring the Accuquilt. So these might be a good one to start with.
I just loved this fabric and bought a couple of lots of it.
Another jelly roll pack.
This is a cushion panel where I fell in love with the picture but was disappointed as the item had not been backed up properly. I have this to take to pieces to do a better job of it and add some new fabric.
I already have this Nasturtiums panel half-worked for a cushion cover. Quite by chance I found another and so decided to purchase it to make a pair of kitchen cushions for my dream kitchen.
More Fat Quarters.
This is another Glorafilia kit which was really expensive and a present to me. The colours are ideal for my colour selection for the front room. I hope to buy another one at a further date so that I have a pair of them to go with my stash. The design is called Abusson Flowers.
Some pre-embroidered vintage items that are going to be recycled into something else.
Vintage fabrics to be used for backing cushions and the like.
I have several Rowandean kits to work this being one of them.
Another vintage embroidered piece waiting to be turned into something else.
An embroidery kit for a cushion.
Another wildflower kit for a wall picture.
A vintage Glorafilia kit. I have a couple which are part of the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady range.
A pre-worked piece that just needs finishing x 2. There is just a small section of burgundy background to work on this and then all the background on the other one.
Sanderson Roses and Peony fabric for backing up some of my needlepoint/tapestry fronted cushions.
Another of my part worked cushion inserts. This is only a small centre and I am going to on the front use a build up similar to log cabin style in neutral and patterned fabrics.
The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady wildflower picture panel in cross stitch.
A pre-worked Lily of the Valley and Violet panel that I need to finish off.
A Maggie Gee Embroidery kit honeysuckle and roses. Her interpretation of the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady images.
Some kits already worked that need finishing off. Thinking cushion panels here.
Some Christmas fabric bought initially to make up a tablecloth - in two minds about this as I thought it might make a nice dress. Jury is out at the time of typing this. I still think it would look lovely on the table.
Some fat quarter Christmas fabrics bought to make some throws.
Some kits to embroider. The tablecloth below. I have two of these and they are for my bedroom.
A Christmas table runner.
Some more fat quarters to play with.
A finished vintage cat picture. Needs a new frame.
More Christmas fat quarters for yet another quilt.
Pre-bought bunting to make up.
Some finished cushion panels for the front room.
The kit below was expensive and is for a picture panel. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.
This is a pre-embroidered vintage panel that I picked up. I believe the design is from around the 1930s but the frame it came in was rather fragile so I am looking to pick up another nice one probably from a charity shop.
Another of the Victorian children kits to work in due course.
Some of these are UFOs and some of them brand new but I have plenty to keep or get me into mischief. This is only a small selection of what I have to hand to do. There is a lot more yet.
It would be good to get them done and dusted. Will not be for the lack of trying.
Right am off to get a wriggle on.
Catch you soon.

Gosh! That's your spare time for the next ten years spoken for Tricia! You have some absolutely wonderful projects there and how lovely your house will look when these are done. You have very similar tastes to me, that's for sure! That embroidered panel in the 2nd to last photo is very like a firescreen I have in an empty bedroom fireplace. I will try and remember to take a photo of it and put it up on my blog.
ReplyDeleteHappy crafting!
Hi BB - I know I have a lot on my hands - now if I were to win the lottery and be a full time lady of leisure stuff might get done. But that's me and everyone else as well. I have tried to theme the items and the colourways have chosen so its individual. That picture I have a smaller version of it as well. Had not realised it at the time thought it was a completely different picture so I am not surprised that you have a fire screen. Its a lovely picture. I am not surprised we have similar tastes. Bet we would lead each other right astray if we ever went to an antiques fayre or an auction together. You never know what is round the corner. Mind you BB you really have some lovely projects on the go too. Going to tell you a story now in the words of Max Bygraves! The reason I fell in love with patchwork was after seeing a vintage Philadelphia quilt in a magazine a few years back and here you are working one! Take care my friend. Tricia xx
ReplyDeleteWow! You have so many lovely things! Some of your cross stitch kits are gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteHi Jeannie hope you are keeping well. Glad you like some of my bits. They have been gathered together over a 32 year period they have not just arrived. I do however need to get stuck in and get as much done as I can so that can put it into use. The cross stitch Edwardian Lady kit came off ebay as did the wildflower one. I think they are still available. I themed flowers, pale pinks, raspberry pinks, cream and green are the main colours for the front room and this is loosely what I have based everything on. You would be surprised what you can find if you lurk long enough on ebay. Take care sweetie nice to hear from you. Tricia xx
DeleteYour fabrics are just wonderful! I love it all, the pillows are just lovely, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Lefting, glad you like my stash - it is only part of it. I am not what you would call minimalist, but as I have said above a lot of these items have been collected over a 32 year period so really it is high time that I started to get stuck in with them. I hope you are keeping well and that life is being good to you at the moment. Take care Tricia xx
DeleteLots of projects there for you Patty - go for it and enjoy them all ☺☺ xx
