Hoping for better results today

 than I had yesterday.  Did not quite happen although a little progress has been made on part of the kitchen.

Last night I did a little bit of pottering in the kitchen, but did not get very far.

Have woken to a sunny morning, there is a lot more breeze than yesterday and it is cooler, much cooler so hopefully will be able to get on a bit more than I have been able to.  All is quiet the animals are flat out in a stupor not a murmur (hope I am not speaking too soon).

Lots to do still in there.  Earlier in the week I had dragged out a lot of preserving equipment and being as storage is tight, I now have to fight to get it back in.  I therefore decided that it was time just to tidy the cupboards out at the same time to make matters that little bit more difficult. I also had some rust to deal with on a couple of items, so they have been dealt with as well.  So that is what I am in the process of dealing with.  It looks as though it is going to be a weekend job.  I did get side-tracked looking for something earlier on though and spent a good hour looking for something.  Unfortunately I did not find what I was after more's the pity as it really is needed.  Will probably have another look tomorrow.  Keep getting distracted so really need to focus on what I am actually meant to be doing.

I did venture out to the greenhouses and also the garden earlier on although in reality I think it is going to be Monday evening before I get out there again; it is however what it is and as long as each time I get out there some form of progress is made then that is all that matters.

I did get the last batch of mint off the Dresser which has now completely dried, and got it crumbled into its jar.  Will harvest a load more mint tomorrow and set that to drying as well.

The fresh Basil which I also set to drying naturally during the week has also finished drying and has now been rubbed and put into its storage jar.  I shall hopefully get some leaves from my own plants shortly.  I shall do a round up of the bits and bobs have been up to in the next few days or so, once the kitchen is back to normal.

Sorry it is short and sweet this evening, I can hear the dulcet tones of the kitchen calling to me!
