Wet n Windy day

Its a wet, cold and very windy day here in a not so sunny Peterborough.  After a few milder days it seems to have gone back to the cold and damp scenario so reminiscent and frequent of many an English winter.  Big sigh.  Here is to better and warmer days. I could certainly do with a shot of sunshine vitamin d to see even though I take it daily.  I think the sun is something to look forward to in these grey winters of ours and it soon puts a different perspective on things.

Sorry I have not been around for a couple of days I have been having to deal with a whole raft of paperwork including my CV which took me forever to redraft and type up.  But now at least it is done.  Now we shall wait and see what happens.

I am meeting a friend for lunch and a chat which I am looking forward to and she is collecting me from home to save me walking which is very good of her.  I am very lucky in my friends and also internet friends as well for which I am grateful.

I still have not managed to have my crafting days.  This is a big disappointment to me.  Must deal with everything in priority order otherwise I am sunk.  I am attempting next Tuesday.  I have I think arranged to meet a friend on the Wednesday this week (it was Tuesday last) so I think I am going to have to swap the day around a little.  I need to play.  I have not even managed to get anymore done on the cross stitch UFO cushion panel.  Something has got to give soon.  Hopefully I will get to play a little over the weekend.

I have lots of lovely projects on the go that need completing. I bought a Glorafilia tapestry/needlepoint rug sometime back which will be an heirloom project and which will take a good couple of years to do.  That one is not going to be started as I have quite a few cushion panels on the go and I also want to make sure that I get clear runs at it as I want to achieve regularity of stitches where I can. That will be one to start working when I am a bit more up to date with stuff.  I like tapestry/needlepoint as I can pick it up work a bit and then put it down again.

I am afraid it is the patchwork that is talking to me most at the moment.  Fingers crossed for next Tuesday.  I have all the materials where they need to be up in the craft room.

Right had better start to get ready for my little jaunt.  Hopefully will catch up again a little later.

Take care.
