A Better Night with the Pooch
Which has meant that although I am still tired I have been able to get on a bit. Managed to get a bit of sleep last night for a change. In the end I decided to wash both rugs again as I was not happy with them. They have both now been done and hopefully a third time will not be required. Not sure will get them in the house tonight, but if not it will be tomorrow.
It has been such a lovely day again today and for the first time this year I have been out in the garden in a tea shirt without a jumper. I have been pottering tidying around the back door, and am hopeful in the next week or so a bit at a time, to be able to reclaim the old herb garden and get that all spruced up, and weeded and maybe even some plants in there somewhere down the line. Am breaking the garden down into sections for ease of use and so that I do not overload myself. This is going to be slotted in with everything else I am doing. I have made significant inroads to tidying up around the back door. It is not finished yet, but very happy with what have managed to achieve this afternoon. A lot of hard work but every little helps. So not really back into the kitchen yet. Might be next week at this rate. All this sort though means that G may be going backward and forward to the tip a bit as I am determined to get as much sorted as I can. Maybe not where I had originally planned, but it will all make sense in the end.
Am hopeful that the weather is going to continue in this vane! Just checked and it looks good for the next week at the moment with lots of sunshine. It has been a scorcher here today.
I have been going backward and forward on my plans for tomorrow (Thursday). Because of this lovely weather I want to be outside. However, I know that practically with Missy as she is that will not be possible and she will kick up a heck of a fuss if left inside all alone. She does not settle well outside either. After much toing and froing have therefore decided to continue with my plan for the back bedroom for tomorrow. I might be able to potter outside for a bit after G comes home tomorrow. Fingers crossed. The Computer Room/Study/Craft Room is straight off the back bedroom in any event and if she sees am there she will come to investigate but we should not have any of her howling sessions I hope.
It will be good to get a start on the back bedroom in any event. I have the labels for the boxes ready as well so that will be able to organise and find things more readily on the bits I do manage to process tomorrow.
I did nip to the Charity shop for a quick spin around and came back with a couple of useful pieces. However more about those another time. Got to see Lilly an 80+ Polish lady who volunteers at the shop and had a nice chat with her. Have known her for about 10 years. She is one of these people who just "glows" if you know what I mean, she has a lovely pure heart.
Have helped G get his stuff ready for his little fishing excursion. I will nip into town on Friday in any event for a little while.
Right am off to open some parcels to see what has arrived. I am waiting for some Sage, Thyme, Oregano and Angelica seeds to arrive as well.
Have a lovely evening everyone.
Catch you soon.

What a busy start to the month! I hope that you get a lot done today (Thursday) as planned but also get some time in the garden if the weather is good. Our weather is a bit crazy at the moment - typical for April. We have had bad ice storms in the province and many people (including a lot of my family who live in a more rural area) have been without power for days now! Yesterday we got two inches of snow and a blinding hail storm in the afternoon with howling winds. Today we have woken up to sunshine - all traces of snow gone and the temp scheduled to go up to 18C this afternoon!
ReplyDeleteI sympathise with the cleaning, de-cluttering and labelling as my office mate and I have spent the week doing the same here at the office. They are going to be doing some redecorating in our office so we are clearing things out and reorganizing things ahead of all that being done.
I intend doing more of the same at home this weekend. I have my eye on a new desk but that will mean rearranging some furniture - which sets off a chain reaction of cleaning and moving things! It will be worth it in the end but must pace myself as the arthritis is definitely acting up at the moment!
