Not quite Lark Rise to Candleford
Just want to say thank you for all the good wishes. A lot more compass mentis today.
However, for me it was early awake this morning courtesy of Missy. Nodded back to sleep twice but about 7:00am decided enough was enough and so I got dressed and went down stairs to start pushing forward again with the kitchen. This project is taking as long as it needs to even though it is infuriating me. I am sorting everything again.
The time of 7:00am is early for me. I am notoriously not very good of a morning I tend to come awake at night when its time to go to bed. I tend to be more cautious of a morning in that over many years the modus operandi of my epilepsy condition seems to be that if I am going to have an episode, then it is likely to be of a morning not long after I have woken up. I therefore always make sure that I have had a cup of tea and something to eat before having my pills and getting on with things. We have found that regularity in taking the medication and regularity with everything else so it is paced and calmed helps me more than anything else. Routine. That boring word that drives you nuts, but some things you have to accept as being right for your body and system and just get on with it.
Needless to say I am working steadily and am resting every so often.
Washing up, drying up, washing machine on, (persuaded the washing machine that it really wanted to work - it has been throwing hissy fits) one load completed hung out in this beautiful sunshine, second load on. Eggshells washed and prepared for drying, greenhouses opened up, tea planned for tonight. We are having steak with a side salad and maybe some homemade chips. Strawberries and ice cream for afters.
Phone recharged, cup of coffee had, Geoff's breakfast made, I had mine solo earlier on. Pets fed.
More washing done, hung out and got dried, brought in. Another wash is on the go and I will hang that out tonight. Quite pleased about getting it all dried. Shall carry on as I need to deplete the pile.
Went to the shop and ended up buying some Rosemary to dry. They have not had this in so far so I nabbed it whilst I saw it. I am going to dry it whole. I have some projects for Christmas for which it is needed as well as for cooking. I bought in four packs today. I have two small plants that I bought from the cooking section in Waitrose which are growing up in the planters outside. However before I start harvesting those I need to have a bit more growth on them. I do intend to get some more plants as I love fresh Rosemary. It will work out cheaper for me in the longer term if I do this. It also is nice prepared as an apple and Rosemary jelly which is lovely with a piece of Lamb. Mind you I love fresh Rosemary G is not a fan. I particularly like a leg of Lamb studded with garlic and fresh Rosemary gives so much flavour to the Lamb.
I have also been working away in the kitchen. Have got the sink area all cleared. In reality it does not look much but I have managed to get quite a bit cleared but still a long way to go. Been so hot this afternoon. As I was up early this morning I am going to sit this evening and perhaps have a nice cold cider and maybe do some sewing of some sort. Getting the need to be crafting again. Loving this beautiful weather though.
Right its about time my feet were put up.
Have a lovely Saturday evening wherever you are.
Catch you soon.

My much-loved large rosemary plant was covered in flowers a few weeks ago and the next time I looked it was dead! High winds had snapped it below the ground. I have another one that I grew from a cutting, but like you I use a lot of it, so I will miss the endless supply that I enjoyed for such a long time.
