On track
.......Today so far things have gone to plan. Despite the weather being a lot colder and greyer than it has been. I have donned a jumper and have been able to get on with things.
Today a trip to the tip was planned and a trip to the tip was achieved. The car was full for one trip (and it is an estate car) and I think that there are at least another three to four trips that will be needed at least with just what I already have ready. In the back garden it hardly looks as though I have touched anything and yet a lot of stuff has gone. All being well will go again on Saturday.
Getting rid of the rubbish is very different these days and everything has to be sorted into categories before you even get to the tip. I get that job and then get G creating that I cannot mix the bags which I don't in any event. Its just he does not know what is in them. Peterborough Recycling is pretty precise and very green and they recycle all sorts of things.
He is a bit wound up like a coiled spring at the moment. Part of his Bipolar condition and the fact that Missy is "talking to him", non stop. We have always encouraged her to be "vocal" if they have a voice you have to let them use it. Missy has been a very loving and fun loving dog right from the word go with a cheeky nature and grin to boost. She always makes you smile. The galling thing for G is that she plays hell with him and will not quiet down and as soon as I take her, give her a cuddle, talk back to her, she often settles down on my lap and peace resumes for a while. She cannot help how she is at the moment and is frustrated that she cannot do what she used to do as well as the fact that G is not as quick on the uptake as to what she wants, which is probably the essence of the reason that she moans at him so much. Equally G cannot cope with it. Traversing between the two is a bit of a minefield at times and I get little thanks for it. However just cuz he is throwing a wobbler does not mean that Missy should suffer. At the moment things are calm. Missy is out for the count fast asleep. She has been fed and watered, and tea made. She has a cup of tea in a morning. Had wipe downs, and cuddles. At the moment G is getting some respite from her so hopefully he is calming down as well. Fingers crossed and toes plaited.
Today's efforts although only small compared to what we have to do, are a step further forward and well done with. If we go on Saturday to the tip, that means tomorrow I will have to get all the bags into the front garden from the back garden in order that the car can then be loaded up at some point. We live virtually on a bus stop with double yellow lines and so have to time things when the traffic is not as busy.
My next batch of plants has arrived. I will unpack that later on. This consists of:
Sweet Pepper Bell Boy x 3 plants
Sweet Pepper Lemon Dream x 3 plants
Sweet Pepper Tangerine Dream x 3 plants
Chilli Pepper Early Jalapeno x 3 plants
Padron Pepper x 6 plants
Chilli Pepper Biquinho Yellow x 3 plants
Fig Brown Turkey x 2 plants
Acroclinium Grandiflorum x 3 plants
Cottagers Kale x 10 plants
Chamomile x 3 plants
Lemon Balm x 3 plants
All unpacked now and will pot up tomorrow. There is a lot to do, but the plants are very good again.
At the moment there is a further order to come which consists of summer and winter squash, pumpkins (different ones), Cucamelon, PSB, Globe Artichoke, French Climbing Bean (purple), Black cherry tomato, tomato St Pierre, Calabrese, Romanesco and Leeks.
Greenhouses are looking particularly full at the moment. Need to get some stuff out. Compost ordered but need this to be able to do this also ordered some tomato feeders and a garden riddle with different replacement meshes. I nearly always recycle my compost but the Riddle I have at the moment is not really good enough.
I have also bought a new book which I hope will arrive soon. It is the latest Simon Akeroyd publication entitled Grow your own Groceries. I follow Simon on Instagram and he comes up with some really good ideas for gardening and propagating new plants. So looking forward to receiving this.
Tonight I will be crafting despite plans earlier on to do something else. Bit tired so decided to take it steady.
And now it is back to the kitchen
I had plans to be in the kitchen but sadly got dragged off elsewhere. Kitchen is still going to take some time to clear. It is how it is at present, I may with a bit of luck be able to get things cleared by Monday that is if I am able to maintain the effort I am putting in at the moment. Realistically this is not sustainable, but I will do what I can even though it means "bitting and bobbing" about and not getting one particular room finished. It will come together at the end of the day.
One of the things I am having to do in the kitchen as well is sort out the cupboards and contents and wash them as I go along. Just me being faddy about things being clean. I do this as part of my process of bottoming out the kitchen more or less every time. I also have the cooker to strip down and give a deep clean to.
Achieved today in the kitchen
I have today managed to do a load of washing up, cook tea, but inbetween got dragged off elsewhere so not a lot achieved really. However a lot of work did go on earlier.
Tomorrow G is Fishing and I have plans to do some work in the back bedroom to start tidying and sorting a bit. I have some boxes and items need to be packed away that are not going to be imminently used. The back bedroom leads into the study and so I will be there for Missy should she start crying. Needs must as this is the room where most of the storage happens. I have loads of stuff to get sorted out but there are lot of bits that I now no longer need for various reasons or which can go to the Charity shop (CS). I particularly want to get all my wallpaper into a big box so that it is easily accessible especially with a view to decorating the dining room.
Tea tonight is homemade hot dogs with fried onions. Using Moor Farm Kitty B Chipolatas. Looking forward to as I could "eat a scabby donkey" at the moment.
Right am off to pick up needle and thread.
Have a lovely evening.
Catch you soon.
