Officially Cream-Crackered

Well I pulled the all day and the all nighter.  Now really tired and hurt, but a lot has been achieved.  The house is the tidiest it has been in a long time.  After having something to eat earlier I then went to bed and slept for a good couple of hours before getting up and quite honestly not doing much.  I am not sure which part of my body hurts the mostest but I do intend to have a couple of paracetamol before going to bed which will not be long now.  I am feeling the need for sleep again.  I have been banned from setting the alarm clock for tomorrow and I am just enjoying a tiny bit of Pernod in a large tumbler glass with ice and it is going down a treat.  Earlier on we had an iced Frappe each which also made a nice change.

From tomorrow the work will start again.  We have quite a lot to take to the Tip and so will start taking that from tomorrow.  We may well get a couple of trips in tomorrow.  Tomorrow night I am going to have a bit of a pampering session, try and sort my nails out which have suffered in the past few days as I do wear Marigolds but I am not good at keeping them on when I am cleaning.  A little filing and some baby oil should help nourish the nails.  I will then set about them with a silk buffer I have which makes natural nails look nice and tidy and makes the natural nail look as though it has a coat of clear nail varnish on it.  I prefer natural if at all possible.  In the past 18 months my hands have got a bit gnarly and bent from the Arthritis and my knuckles have expanded as well.  My Nan and my Dad both had gnarly hands and Arthritis and it looks as though I am taking after them.  I am also going to sort my hair out, give it a good wash and set it, in readiness for my appointment on Friday.

I am off to see my Consultant early on Friday afternoon for my annual check up.  Will see what he has to say.  I still have not received the results from my eye test so it may be that I will find out on Friday what is going on being as he ordered the tests!

It looks as though it there are going to be a few showers overnight and so I have had to bring some stuff back in that I had popped outside for space.  They will go back out tomorrow after the rain and I can then start sorting them out.

G is fishing again next Tuesday and so hopefully will be able to focus on one particular area unlike other times he has been away.  I did forget to mention it but when he was fishing this last Tuesday Missy was an absolutely little Angel.  No barking, howling, just a totally chilled out dog!  Mind you she has had a couple of moments since.

I am also going to take the opportunity of starting to sort some of the fragile glassware and crockery that I have and Bubble Wrap it and then get new boxes for them.  A lot of boxes had to be scrapped recently because they had given way.

Right am going to put my feet up.

Hopefully will catch up with you sometime tomorrow.

Have a lovely evening.

Catch you soon.

  1. You're mad! No housework is worth doing for a 24 hour stretch. Please allow your body to rest and recuperate. When you have health issues, this sort of physical challenge can surely make things worse? Gosh, I've had it by 9.30 most nights (and that's after getting up 6 a.m. ish) and I am not one for sitting down much.

    1. Hold my hands up. Totally loco in Acapulco (it is a family trait)! We had an electrical inspection and of course they had to go into every single room. Last inspection we had done said we needed a new fuse box, and he is saying that it still needs one and that the Landlord will have a month to respond, so I am anticipating further work. And because I have started decorating and stripping wallpaper off walls and had each room as I wanted it to be for tackling a particular job, i.e little room (done), main bathroom (I have been filling in the plasterwork in readiness for rubbing down and decorating. Kitchen needed touching up, and I have started stripping wallpaper in the dining room. I have to try and get these sorted before he comes back. I will readily admit I have far too much stuff but I have been thinning stuff out and boxes had collapsed which I have been through and partially sorted I was in a bit of a mess. have 38 years worth of stuff plus inherited bits and bobs from family on both sides. Have done a lot of work but still have a heck of a lot to do. As I said earlier though, I am determined to try and regain control of this house this year. I am going into the garden first to get that sorted a bit as it has been neglected whilst been prepping the house. Most of the work tends to come down to me on the contents bit. G eventually did help though with shifting things around. On the positive side found another UFO a crochet bed cover project that I managed to pick up again tonight. It is worked in cotton yarn. There is a big pile of UFOs waiting but they are going to be addressed as well. Thank you for caring; I am okay and under normal circumstances I would not do, but this had to be done. Have taken today easy and will for the next few days but the start of next week I am going to focus on a room at a time and get them done as soon as I can which will be the main bathroom and then finish off the kitchen. Promise no more late nights Hugs Tricia xx
