Today......

Today started off as normal with G receiving a cooked breakfast.  I just had some toast and yogurt today as I did not feel too hungry.  Medication out of the way with and then time to get stuck in.

I have started work on clearing the kitchen although progress is slow at the moment.  The other week I took a load of cake pans out and popped them into bags near the greenhouse - waterproof bags but it is time they were back in the house.  This evening I am going to have a washing and drying session (I dry them in the oven) and then will repack them into another box.  They will be going into the back bedroom in any event and if I need a cake pan or cake pans (apart from the basics) a lot of these tins are a bit fancier than normal I will just have to come and get it from upstairs.  This is what I am going to be doing this evening.  It will be a job well done.  There are more cake pans to come out of a cupboard in the kitchen and the current contents will be replaced with my larger cooking pots and a few trays and cake pans that I use on a regular basis.  Streamlining a bit due to lack of space.

I have also cleared all the washing up from tea last night and breakfast this morning and have also started to sort out the sink area.  I have been under said sink and tidied the cupboard out too.  The tap has come unscrewed and needs re-aligning and once the underside is all sorted and tidy G can then go in and tackle it.  I have also cleaned the Dishwasher and the washing machine and the soap powder cupboard.  That is one side of the kitchen all done and dusted now.  Tomorrow I can start on the other side. That will take a little more time although part of it was done the other week and does not need revisiting.  I am hopeful that tomorrow will enable me to finish off the kitchen to the point that all I will have to do is to strip the oven down and give it a deep clean and wash the floor.

There has been loads of washing going on as well which I have managed to get out to get dried.  My towels are now dry and a load of clothes have also gone out.  Weather does not look good for tomorrow with rain predicted for most of the day.  Whether it will change or not I do not know, but we are supposed to be dry again on Thursday when G goes fishing.  I am hoping to get a lot of stuff done on Thursday in any event Jack Russell permitting.

I was not going to cook tonight with too much going on but in the end I dragged some Chicken Kievs out of the freezer (a couple each); they cooked up nicely and then we had a Creme Caramel each to finish off with.  Now it is back to the kitchen I go for a couple of hours to get as much done as I possibly can.
