Underestimating again

That is underestimating again the amount of time needed for bottoming out the bedroom/study/computer room!  However I have made an exceptional start and cleared quite a lot of stuff interspersed with washing pillows, quilts, blankets, sheets and curtains.  It is getting a good going over though.  I think I am going to be another couple of days in dealing with this, but at least then it will be thoroughly done.  I am mindful that I have to have this gall bladder operation which will put me out of action for a couple of days or so I prefer feather pillows and I buy the ones that you can wash and dry in a tumble drier, just on a normal general wash and then they go into the tumble drier - mine have been on Turbo and they have come out lovely and clean and beautifully fluffed up as if they were new.  It does take a little time as I only wash one pillow at a time and only dry one at a time so that they get thoroughly cleaned and then dried.  I prefer to d...

All Geared up

hopefully for some progress tomorrow whilst OH is fishing.  It will be an early start though.  Missy is staying with me as it has been far too hot today and we have had the fans on for her as well as ourselves. I was going to cook a roast today but in the end decided not to, however will do for tomorrow when OH returns from his fishing.  He is going with the step son so it will do them both good. It has been a pottering sort of day nothing substantial just ding a bit of this and that. However I have located my embroidery threads.  For a long time now I have been looking for a second Lever Arch Box file that i knew i had stuffed with embroidery threads. I just could not find it though.  OH had stuck some boxes up high out of the way and this afternoon one of the boxes slipped and we had a mini cave in.  It was the embroidery threads box.  I am very pleased about this as I have a couple of small projects that I have been wanting to try for a while....

Trying to catch up and failing miserably

I am not doing well at the moment in the longer run but rather than leave the blog another day I thought I would start off with what has been going on today and then try and play catch-up bit by bit.  I also found out unexpectedly that a friend who was a couple of years younger than me had also passed which was a bit of a shock. Inbetween trying to do everything else, I have had toothache which calms down and then blows up again which is driving me nuts. Sorry not meaning to complain and be negative but very grateful that we have a Dentist. Good job the work is starting soon albeit with some extractions.  I have three months of work to look forward to, which should for the best part put things back into order a little bit although I will have some issues with some of my other teeth probably later next year but we will deal with that when we get to it.  It does not help that I have Vitamin D Deficiency and also the Sjorgen's Syndrome has done a lot of damage as I do not pr...

Helllo Everyone

Hi, just to let everyone know that we are now back from holiday.  We had a lovely restful holiday and did not really want to come back but knowing that in real life we have a lot of things to deal with we have come back to try and get sorted a bit.  One of the problems I have is that I get stuck in and start sorting things then start having fatigue attacks and I am not able to do anything for a few days.  It is pretty demoralising but part of what I am having to get used to.  I am not complaining, it is just a different way of having to go around things to what I am traditionally used to doing and I hate being slowed up!  More frustration than anything else on my part as I do not consider that I really have any health problems, just issues that get in the way and raise their ugly heads every so often.  Not that I am not looking after myself, I am it is just that sometimes things escalate every so often for some unknown reason.  Everything is okay...

Please bear with me

Having issues with the local internet at the site we are on hampered by the fact I bought OH's laptop instead of my own and dont have the passwords.  If get a chance to connect and post I will. Pattypan x

A bit of a catchup

Sunday We had a lovely day taking daughter and grandchildren to our favourite Butchers which is on a local farm and part of a larger complex all set up for families.  We had a lot of laughs with the youngsters and with daughter and had a lovely time as well as getting a few bits for our holiday.  There is a walk around the farm plus play area, tea shop as well as loads of other fCilities.  We walked through part of the wood and ghe bluebells were out. Very pleasant sadly spoiled as had to leave earlier than planned due to oldest grand having a seizure. He is ok. Monday My birthday another year older.  Normally on my birthday weather is usually fine but started off cold and grey.  Made sure the moggies were all set for the cattery and they had their beds, towels, grooming equipment and toys. By the time we left the house it was bucketing down with rain.  Journey was not too bad into deepest darkest Lincolnshire and the area of my birth however the Sat ...

Idiots!

This morning I ventured into town for the first time in the best part of 8 weeks or more.  I was not happy to go in but needed to shop for basic stuff that we use on a regular basis.  I normally use Wilkos for this combined with the £ shop.  It is a form of bulk shopping for basics. These days I tend just to pick a couple of shops to go to and then if necessary go back another day.  I may have to do this as I have found a few more things since coming home that I actually need. I am still not 100% and firing on all systems and so found the small jaunt this morning quite tiring.  From Wilkos went to the £ shop but quickly ditched that because of the size of the queue and I could not find what I was looking for in any event. So then headed in the direction of Primark.  Another no go and queues outside the centre to get in the shop.  Abandoned that as well. So I then headed into M & S as I had decided that I was going to cook a simple chicken me...
